this is kinda a joke. this site works exactly the same with or without JavaScript, with a single exception of showing this notice if it is enabled.

I did find, however, that browsing the web without JS is pretty pleasant (and in fact, JS is disabled by default on my primary device). a lot of antifeatures like annoying banners and popups are now gone, and you’re left in a wonderful world of quickly-loading, pure content.

of course, not every website is accomodating of that (the biggest offender being cloudflare captchas and anubis checkpoints), but clicking a couple buttons in ublock origin or viewing an archived version is not that bad from time to time.

I encourage you to try doing this, if only as an experiment. I was surprised to learn how much stuff works without JS, and which particular stuff doesn’t.
